Hello,
I’ve read several times that Stephen Norrington maybe directing Jason Vs. Freddy 2 . Does anybody have information on this subject?
I hope so because I was very disappointed by the first movie, and I believe Stephen has all the talent to make a much better movie!
Any thoughts? |

Hmm...yeah plenty of word on the net about FvJ2...probably all rubbish though...SN was tied to Ghostrider for a while which Mark Steven Johnson is doing now...plus a bunch of other things including the on/off film 'tick-tock' so only god knows whats going on...
Personally I quite liked FvJ...Im a big Ronny Yu fan but not so much of a horror film fan...
I seem to be under the impression that SN is simply going to help out on films at the moment as he did before Death Machine etc...then probably when the right project comes along hammer something out that will put balls firmly to the walls...we can only hope... |

| I love Norrington, and really he could make a good Vs. flim, but I would rather he not do Vs's 2. The first was goofy and really had a mediocre plot, and slasher sequels don't get much better than the original. SN needs something with a little depth and more imagination put into it... |

If he wrote the script, it'd be funnier than hell, though!
I'm kind of torn between wanting him to do something like a thriller of some kind, or ---- dare I say it ---- a REAL ghost story, something with some drama. You know I'm thinking of it---- like "Devil's Backbone". (*slaps own face sharply*)
There's tons of source material around from the last few THOUSAND years; I've no doubts he can write something. And keep it small and confined. That's when he really shines. |
