John Woo is on the board! Cool...Im a big Woo fan..its strange actually cos Tsui Hark was on it last year and he was a production partner with Woo back when Woo was making the 'heroic bloodshed' films...

...but aside from that Ive not been up 2 speed with Cannes...

This is totally off topic but the only thing Im truly looking forward to seeing this year is 'Nighwatch' which is a Russian film that looks absolutely awesome...I urge all to the trailer...should be on appletrailers...

It looks like something Norrington would be doing if he was still exploring the whole vampire thing...

Wow. I totally blew my first response to this. I hit some odd key and ended up in the Twilight Zone.

Anyhow, we went running over to the Apple trailers page last night, where I was promptly committed to sit in the cyber-corner with my sniveling, and be patient. Finally, I got to watch my first Quicktime trailer and it was 'Night Watch'. FANTASTIC. I would die and go to heaven if Stephen Norrington ever got back into this, those vibrant, dark colors and the feelings of being totally enclosed within the story are him.

We watched that twice and Harry Potter, War of the Worlds, and the new Star Wars, which I went all shrieky over.

I am sated. For now. Thanks for the head's-up, Asano. Very Happy

Thank you, Urban Legend, for all of that.

But one small quibble-to me, it just isn't Cannes without the photos of topless starlets. Where are the topless starlets?

I'll let you go find them. Thanks.

Filthy boy. Evil or Very Mad

Have you seen "Femme Fatale"? If not, you must. It's great. Fun, sexy, I love this movie.

Plus, I think you would appreciate one of the young ladies attire at the Cannes. It consists of a golden snake. That's all.

Well, she also had on a mini-skirt, but the cut of the material was poor. Very Happy

Actually, I find a lot of very pretty gowns are worn at the Cannes. Still, nothing really compares to any festival taking place in Italy. Sorry. My merry likings. Cool
